Mill Creek Introduces Novacell at Expo East 2015

Plant Stem Cell line breaks new ground in skin care product industry! For nearly four decades, Mill Creek Botanicals has channeled industry-leading practices and research into its award-winning products. Now, the company has released Novacell, a uniquely bio-engineered skin care line made from actual plant stem cells. This line could very well be a game-changer in the skin care world, offering amazing results using the cleanest and safest natural ingredients available in today’s natural products marketplace. Novacell debuted in September at the Natural Products Expo 2015, in Baltimore MD, and has since been well-received in the U.S. and in international markets.

“Once again, Mill Creek and its industry partners have come together to create something really great for the very well-informed informed natural products consumer,” said Panch Prasad, Mill Creek’s CEO. “Stem cell research has been a hot topic for a long time and using these methods in plants, we believe, can bring forth some amazing new health discoveries.

Using advanced natraceutical technology, Novacell is formulated with Mung Bean (Vigna radiata) stem cell extract, peptides and antioxidants. Formulators have worked to create a proprietary plant stem cell culture system where cells are able to sustainably grow and completely reproduce. All information required to grow one mature Mung Bean tree is contained in one single stem cell. In addition, the cells possess distinct bioactive compounds and nutrients with wound-healing qualities  that produce remarkable results for damaged or sensitive skin.

Novacell formulations are made of 71% certified organic ingredients. Known for its nutritional value in Asia for 4,000 years, the Mung Bean tree extract has been clinically tested to achieve remarkable effects on skin. Some of these discoveries include: helping to repair UV damaged cells, increases in collagen synthesis (creation), skin protection against environmental stress, and positive responses to chemical stresses.

“Vigna radiata has long been known for its adaptability in stressful environments and now consumers can use this powerful  plant’s healing qualitites for their own skin,” said Susan Raffy, Novacell formulator and 27-year veteran of the cosmetic chemistry industry.

The Novacell product line included a Smoothing Eye Balm, which helps to diminish fine lines and wrinkles in the face’s “Crow’s Feet” area; a Brightening Facial Serum that is great for sensitive skin; Restoring Night Cream that helps to even skin tone and improve skin clarity; a gentle Refreshing Facial Cleanser gel that’s great for all skin types, and Moisturizing Day Lotion, which is a lightweight emulsion that moisturizes and protects skin. Novacell formulations will be available nationally and internationally at numerous natural product retailers.
